After the death of Reality (as with much of the creatures that managed to escape to live during the Time of Decay in the Plane of the Dying (Dead) Dream much of the population fell off as the only thing supporting life was that of the Titans, and the immaterial. Fortunately, during the creation of The Vats by Soundless Harmony and the killing of Faceless Instinct, the Siren Goddess Titans would utilize the Laosu in combination with the matter of Faceless Instinct to produce Progenitors, Later, as well, by the Worshipers of the Siren Goddess Titans as the extraction of Vat Wurms required the Laosu majket found in their flesh. As such Laosu was grown on purpose by the Titans and later by the Progenitors as flesh stock to produce Progenitors.
Eventually, during the creation of the Realm of Taint as the Dream found itself assaulted more and more by the denizens of the Plane of Taint and the Laosu would slowly fall under the influence of the Taint as they were still being used by the Progenitors for their Vats to create more progenitors in addition to being a workforce and army.
The Taint would so alter their genes that, although they would still be used by the Progenitors for the creation of their own race and warriors, the Laosu gained sentience due to this taint, and thus the Queens Court Progenitors begin to treat them much more carefully as the Laosu greatly outnumbered the Queens Court Progenitors and were used as the workforce in the Dream by the Theocracy of the Queens Court.
The Laosu’s physiology has changed throughout the decades to reflect their newfound independent thought, they worship the Queens Court, and additionally the old ways of the Siren Religion. There are some Cults among the Laosu that worship The Crimson King for his role in the creation of the Taint as well as those who worship the Male TItans; however such heretics are quickly found and dispatched.
