Racial History
The Ra'ul are a recently united race having been united by the Bio-Genesis and forming the Ra'ul Municipalities, spreading to many worlds. Starting their evolution during the Seeding of Worlds; they would slowly grow to intellectual conscious thought thought by around 8,100 P.B. near the end of the seeding. It would not be until the Ra'ul United Municipality Declaration however that they would expand vastly into the stars; their government split into different Merchant Lord Municipalities until 2,234 S.A. Ra'ul are natural traders who uphold craftsmanship above even life itself. In fact destroying a work of art or handmade Ra'ul good is often punishable by death. This is often why other Aliens prefer to trade them for raw goods or foods.
Biology and Pack Culture
Ra'ul are about 4 feet tall and 5 or so feet long, they have oval almond shaped heads with small antenna and bug-like eyes. They have two sets of arms, one set is furry and gorilla like with three fingers that are often used for balance. Their other pair is smaller closer to their chest also with three fingers Ra'ul have six stubby bulbous legs. The largest part of their body is their back abdomen that is a huge sex organ. Ra'ul are both male and female and switch between sexes as needed, furthermore Ra'ul have a pack mentality that defines their individuality, an individual is considerd for a Ra'ul Pack can be anywhere from a pack of 5 Ra'ul to 100 Ra'ul. Culturally currently those with a small Pack become scientists or government leaders and those with larger packs become warriors or harvesters. This was only developed after the Ra'ul United Municipality Declaration as in the times before any size pack was allowed any type of job role. This led to a structural imbalance disallowing for any true unification until the Declaration by Prophet Tellamen Sulan.
The lifespan of a Ra'ul is roughly about 15 years but it is often less than that. Ra'ul are very sexual creatures, often stopping to have intercourse as a way to celebrate or show appreciation. This is also because they have such short lives that often they must be constantly reproducing.
Because their population fluctuates so often, the surface of their planets is often used for mock war zones to make sure they do not have too high of a population and to test weapons. Most of their homes and cities reside in hives under the ground in honeycomb-like structures.
Ra'ul are susceptible to the Taint but because of their pack mentality, they often catch infected early on. Despite this, Ra'ul do understand it as a huge problem and thus trade heavily with U.W.F. for protection from it as while most Ra'ul tainted curiously not growing to be Intelligent Taint, they do mature quicker then most other races that get infected into Brute Tainted.
Ra'ul Religions
Most Ra'ul currently believe in the Bio-Genesis; the original Maze World they evolved from; is their God. They believe is the origin of all biological matter and the ultimate craftsman as proven by the Book of Creation found by Tellamen Sulan on the world as the "Creations of the Bio-Genesis". It is said that the Ra’ul world is protected by a huge fleet of Ra’ul Capital Ships and that within the planet they surround you can travel to the center to talk to the Bio-Genesis; allowed only by those most loyal of Ra'ul Packs.
Before the Bio-Genesis the different Ra'ul Merchant Lords all had differentiating gods or God to represent the places that Craftsmanship takes place; this nonuniform hodgepodge religion was known as The Pantheons of the Hammer. While there are still some few Ra'ul dissidents in other worlds that believe in this system of believe even among those followers they have placed the Bio-Genesis as the prime creator of the Pantheons.
Technology
The Ra'ul are some of the best at blending biological technology with mundane technology. They created the space needle and Bio-Boxes, which allow for ammunition to be remade by small compound organisms that eat the dust and oxygen out of the air to create conventional bullets. As such they are often sought after as alternative trade partners to the U.W.F. for RAW materials and foods. Ra'ul typically use conventional weapons with custom Bio-Boxes.
