The Xy'lon Matriarchy
Governmental Reign:
110 G.A. (Golden Age of Realms) - A.C. (Age of Convergance)
The Building of the Xy'lon Matriarchy 85 G.A. - 110G.A.
The beginning members who would eventually join the ruling body of the Xy'lon Matriarchy would comprise of Spirit Core loyalists who begin their experiments in using the World Maze crystals to create Xy'lons as early as 65 G.A. .Vincent Raven leaving these several key Spirit Core members in charge of the building of a new organization of the newly budding forces of Xy'lon while venturing into the Journey to find better stabilization method for the Xy'lon to be used as tools of war. The development of the Xy'lon Matriarchy would be experimented with as further reinforcement methods of shaping allowed new insights in the beginning carvings of the Spirit Core Members when the realization of the Xy'lon Crystals needing Empath type three modifications and further understanding of the draw from Xy'lon towards figures of female orientation.
When Vincent Raven returned with the infected body of Rose and with the help of Jezreal was able to use the process of traditional Godhood to cure her of the Taint as well as in the ritual tie her psychically into the memories of the Xy'lon would advance into more stabilized shaping's creating a boom in production and usefulness from Xy'lon as a race.
Establishing the new race under the pretense of the need from guidance and assistance of female hands as a core pinpoint in their memories and beliefs would give larger organizational control of the now several billion Xy'lon to the Spirit Core members and Reborn Rose who recruited females. This would build towards a more hierarchal system, one which began installing a council of females as well as an upper class of Xy'lon that enjoyed the privilege of serving as Shapers, governmental officials' and upper class religious members. This additionally allowed for those of the rebel outer planets who Vincent Raven had barely managed control of so far a better incentive for joining in military alliance their traditional enemies of the U.W.. With new non-combat related positions rapidly needed, options for retirement into the nobility of the ruling class of Xy'lon Matriarchy as upper-class nobles were give to U.W. and outer planet leaders to build the budding governmental system. The Matriarchy, as such, would not have the harsher rules on religion that the U.W.F. would eventually have. The Xy'lon Matriarchy would build itself into a Unitary State Theocracy built around incentivizing the using of the religious Theocracy to reward the non-Xy'lon members of it's society. This methodology would lead to much of the issues in the Xy'lon Matriarchy however the governance would remain stable from 110 G.A. to roughly 199.8 G.A.. While philosophy and the general culture of the Xy'lon race would naturally grow leading to increased need for policing of it's own people from 160G.A. to 199.8 G.A., it would not be until the end of the Crimson War and the Valkyrie Accords were signed that the division in Xy'lon philosophy and resentment grew exponentially to the stipulations signed by the Xy'lon Matriarchy without the consent of the Xy'lon race itself.
Transition from Crimson War 198.9G.A. - 201 G.A.
With the Crimson War at it's climax, Xy'lon Military fleets were utilized more and more as well as a vanguard to the larger now unified U.W.F. forces. The Xy'lon ships capable of instant Warp phasing travels lead to a unique usage by the combined military allies in giving the relatively small Xy'lon fleet large swaths of pre-existing won territory to defend especially on newly won worlds closer to the Crimson Empire. The ability to jump to the defense of any attacked world allowed U.W.F. forces to push in for a final confrontation at Apex Echo Sector by using the forces of the Matriarchy to occupy heavily infested and tainted worlds, as well as take these territories near the space called World's Edge. This allowed a build up of U.W.F. fleets and the building of the Space Ring: U.W.F. Forward Base in the newly claimed Empire of the Red Eye, crucial to the desperate and cut off Kurlik rebel ally forces keeping the Crimson Empire busy. Further, Xy'lon military forces were integral to the taking of other key strategically lost territories from 168 G.A. to roughly 177 G.A. Xy''lon Matriarch Forces would be additionally committed by the U.W.F. for the operation and final battle at Echolocation.
At the end of the Crimson War the Xy'lon Matriarchy would attend the Valkyrie Accords signing, fully giving up Xy'lon racial rights in favor of maintaining itself as a servant sister government to the U.W.F. tasked with much of the rebuilding efforts and maintaining of the newly formed boarders of the Crimson Empire, Feather Servants in conjunction with Empire of the Red Eye Forces with a primary focus on the clearing of tainted territory.

Reborn Rose: High Goddess of the Matriarchy
After her infection from Taint, Rose would be placed into the Plane of Taint by Victor Raven 13 in stasis under the hope of curing her himself and gaining back his lover. However through the infiltration of the Realm of Taint from Vincent Raven and the God Jezreal and other members of his personal guard, some would be those who would eventually become the new gods of the Circle of Ten, managed to steal her from her stasis. With the assistance of Jezreal and the re-found Book of Ascendance. By tying the mind state of humanities Constructed Realm Human Gods they were better able to influence the draw towards the nature of femininity, and no longer having to use longer Empath emotional changes. It also allowed for the drawing of more concentrated Majket powers by Rose and the other members of the Council of Ten from the Xy'lon into their forms in a more purified way while not drawing on the energies of their own Empaths. The Reborn Rose would rule as head of the Matriarchs female council, as well as the Xy'lon Deity the one chosen to guide their race in service to the females, as written in the Matriarchs scriptures and laws. However the deific powers as well as her time spent tainted would leave Rose in a depraved state of mind, no longer her former personality that had been rewritten over and over again. As such much the depravity and ill-governance can be traced back to Reborn Rose. Her enjoyment in the torture and use of the Xy'lon as tools to play with and gift to any was well know, for as long as it meant the worship of her followers her twisted mind found no qualm to what depravity they indulged in. |
Matriarchy Military Organization and Development
While the Matriarchy would grow in it's political power, as well as in the control over the Xy'lon race, the one area where Xy'lon development of it's own governance would begin slowly would begin in it's military forces. While at first only allowed governance by the Xy'lon Shapers chosen by the Nobles of the Matriarch into "Battle Committees", eventually these committees would allow non chosen committee members into their ranks for service and reward from battle. This subsect of committees would grown in further organizations of Battalion Groupings and Astral Combat Groupings as the population of Xy'lon expanded rapidly and military structural hierarchy needed expanding. As such the distance between the nepotistic political theater that was the Matriarchy begin to be sourced more to large Capital Ships in which the elite non-Xy'lon nobles lived with the services of higher ranking Xy'lon. Thus many Battalions and Astral Combat Groupings would be assigned the clearing of terra based territory until such areas were safe for colonization. This distance between the Military and the Political sphere of influence would allow for a more broken cultural narrative between those Xy'lon chosen for life surviving in the luxurious Xy'lon Matriarchy Capital Ships, and the hard toiling Xy'lon society's based in other ships and worlds where there expectations of work, and servitude in military were more extreme. Shaping as such slowly would turn into a much more practical purpose then religious one in these areas, and in these locations they would not be as bound by the manipulation of Reborn Rose and the Matriarchy. |
A Matrarch Xy'lon Shaper, with rights of Committee voting and allowed access to Matrarch hearings, these Xy'lon would form ruling caste of Xy'lon governance and were allowed some oversight into issues voted on by the Matriarchy but were not allowed larger voting rights until after the Third Civil War when the Council of the Matriarch's pollical powers were heavily reduced by the Xy'lon Military.
The First Civil War: War of Ideology 200 G.A. - 204 G.A.
As the Xy'lon grew and spanned many new spaces with many forces not being able to contact their superiors due to the constant need for Xy'lon Committees responding to new and constant threats the military mindset of many of the Xy'lon commanders in the field developed further and further away in regards to philosophy and thought process. At the end of the Crimson War, before the signing of the Valkyrie Accords, the primary camps had developed past the control and oversight of the Matriarchy.
The first of these groups would find followers from the periods of 191.3 G.A. to 200 G.A. under the banner of the Shaper of the name Eznal'an. Eznal'an led a group of shaped Xy'lon that after the signing of the Valkyrie Accords would ban together many of the outcast shaped Xy'lon, even managing diplomatic relations with Twisted Xy'lon. Eznal'an argued that Xy'lon no longer should have to fight under the banner of the Matriarch, claiming that Xy'lon had earned the right of living out their lives the way they wanted, having served their time for the Reborn Rose. He preached an end to the use of Xy'lons as a race of war and demanded claimed land promised but not given in the Valkyrie Accords stating it had been promised to Xy'lon Committees and Battalions as land to start their own society's and practices. Going so far as to practice multiple Hive City-wide peaceful protests, he declared separation from the Xy'lon Matriarchy as a free people for grievances over the signed accords. The group would grow in numbers and as their numbers grew so did the fear from both U.W.F. and Matriarchal forces grow, still unstable near the end of the war. For additionally Eznal'an preached the need for Xy'lon to search for "The Lost Lovers", the females of their male only race. Such a philosophy was a great risk to the power structure of the Matriarchy and so finally Reborn Rose and the Council of the Xy'lon Matriarchy enacted a devious trap in 204 G.A as the followers of Eznal'an grew in political power.
Promising the lands and freedom the pacifists of the Seekers demanded, passage for those of the Xy'lon that wanted to choose the life of Seekers were given to specific I.D.ed ships. However this would be the trap they would set for the honor bound Eznal'an, for as he and his followers left on their capital ships secret bombs were detonated by Xy'lon Matriarch loyal Military operatives, and the entirety of the Seeker followers destroyed, their deaths blamed on ship malfunction and lack of faith in Reborn Rose. Despite this horrendous loss, there are still many of the Seeker philosophy who more carefully made their way off Xy'lon Matriarch controlled territory, seeing that those loyal to the Xy'lon Matriarchy were willing to commit any crime to retain control.

The Second Civil War: War of Shaping 218 G.A. - 225 G.A.
While Seekers had been eradicated as a viable threat to the political power of the female councils of the Xy'lon Matriarchy unrest would only become more amplified, the population of shaped Xy'lon booming as demand increased, and oversight began to be lost track of in many Xy'lon production worlds. The heavy labor use of the Xy'lon would begin in earnest, building many of the U.W.F. space rings, and assisting in many more dangerous operations in tainted worlds to expand the grip of control for the U.W.F. As the number of viable Xy'lon forces grew so did reject shaping's, and surplus in Xy'lon twisted as well as other shaped Xy'lon and the reliability of shaping long lasting Xy'lon yet again dipped.
In 218 G.A. the Xy'lon builder fleet Nebulous would break away in rebellion, originally a crew of Xy'lon manning the fleet, a slave of one of the ships would lead a rebellion managing to gain complete control over the fleet without authorities noticing before it was to late. The Xy'lon slave force aboard the shipf would fall under the command of the slave who had lead the rebellion; Nefltman, a Durhan Xy'lon, who had been enslaved for the shape he had been made in. With his meager forces he declared the fleet under critical need of assistance. When the several Xy'lon Capital Ships warped in he set off a massive communication hack, blocking the just arrived fleets from further Warp Jumps or communication to the rest of the Xy'lon Matriarchy. Nefltman and his rebels, while the confused ships panicked, sent encoded messages to Xy'lon Matriarchy authorities declaring that he and ALL the ships at his location had declared rebellion against the Matriarchy. It would take too long for the panicked Xy'lon Capital Ships to undo the communication hack. Soon realizing that the Matriarchy cared not for the truth of what the fleet commanders stated, Nefltman showed the communique he had received from the Xy'lon Matriarchy vowing the destruction of all of those on the ships he had given the location to. This would intimidate the other commanders of the Xy'lon Capital Ships into following him. Logs show crew statements of the belief that the Matriarchy forces wouldn't care if they were innocent, and peace would never be an option after how the Seeker rebellion had been handled. Their only choice would be to join the leader of the slaves, Nefltman, who crowned himself "Nefltman High Father."
Quickly undoing his damage to the now forced ally Xy'lon Capital Ships, he warped with the new forces to a Xy'lon Production World, making quick work of the thinly defended planetary forces. There he would reach out to the small group of remaining Mechanius Durhan giving them a relatively small safe haven during his rule there in exchange for legitimacy from them as well as the assistance of his forces in the mass production of Xy'lon Durhan.
By the time Xy'lon Matriarch and U.W.F. fleet forces arrived nearly 10 billion Xy'lon Durhan forces with axillary Xy'lon Twisted under the banner of the High Honor Guard of the Father Nefltman defended his world as well as his small fleet of capital ships and other allies. The battle for the astral space and territory on the land would launch in bitter gridlock, and billions died. The rebellion would end with the Council of Ten breaching the citadel of Nefltman and defeating him at his throne. Despite this it is estimated that as many as 1 billion Xy'lon Durhan were able to escape on allied Mechanius Durhan fleet, as trade for the services provided to Nefltman by them. Despite much of the hate that Nefltman faced from the rest of Xy'lon many Xy'lon commanders admired his ruthlessness' and begin using similar military tactics from Nefltman as well as shaping techniques utilized in his forces as they provided technological advances that further stabilized Xy'lon, and a longer life time for those veteran Xy'lon that had begun the process of breaking and turning to Twisted. Additionally near the end of this civil war the first Elder Crystals would be found, and research begun on their viability in shaping Xy'lon.

The Third Civil War: Rebellion of the Separatist Matriarchy 267G.A. - 284G.A.
With the U.W.F. stabilizing and beginning its total control over the space travel of the many worlds it now reached out to Xy'lon Matriarchy forces were used less and less for defensive responses and escorts. As such, large numbers of Xy'lon veterans were freed up to be given to new females for the Matriarchy. This caused an influx of new human females allowed into the councils of the Xy'lon Matriarchy and soon multiple councils were needed to be formed to better oversee the vast network of politics as the centralized all controlling nature of the Matriarchs iron clad rule and loyalty to Reborn Rose was strained further. These dynamics would lead a political new group to spring up in the growth of power from the female councils in Xy'lon territory. Leading a group of like minded human females, the female leader under the name The Grand Priestess of the Separatist Matriarchy Queen Rinella would raised the banner for the female nobles who wished for more power then what they were given.
Their group led rebellion on several outer rim worlds that still harbored resentments against the U.W. and the rebel leadership for agreeing to help their old enemies. The Separatist Matriarchy found many allies, as it battled forces of U.W.F. and Xy'lon Matriarchy, among dissidents of the human worlds as well as receiving finical support from V.R. sources as well as new technological advances to modify Xy'lon warriors. The Xy'lon Military due to the mass hysteria and upheaval of the political realm of the Xy'lon Matriarchy and the seemingly indifference from Reborn Rose would have to declare marshal law, and disregarding many of the old laws and traditions of harming human females, used any method to grasp back control. It would be during this time period that Elder Crystals would begin to be utilized haven been experimented with when found in the second civil war but only now being able to be used by the Xy'lon Military for Xy'lon more capable of infiltration and battle, disregarding the old methodology of shaping to look like other races.
After seventeen brutal years of civil war with countless Xy'lon lost, the rebellion was finally put to heel by the Xy'lon Military forces. Executing the female leadership of the rebellion, the Xy'lon Military put precedence into new oversight and limit to the command of the female councils and their control over Xy'lon military forces. This would near create an almost separate entity within the Xy'lon Matriarchy of the Xy'lon Military who now run all non-council and non-political task, and refusing interaction with Matriarchal human forces. Despite this the Military still served the will of the Xy'lon Matriarchy until 300 G.A. and while the Xy'lon military forces did not choose to interact with the female nobles directly they still shaped Xy'lon for the Matriarchy for their massive Xy'lon security forces.

The Start of Military Rebellion 300G.A. - A.C.
The Military Rebellion would mark the end to the Golden Age of Realms and the beginning of the Age of Convergence. With the now vastly hamstrung Xy'lon Matriarchy political forces, things for a time seemed as if the Xy'lon Matriarchy would find itself in a moment of peace. However the moment was not to last. The battle hungry Xy'lon military forces after decades of continuous warring and battles had so ingrained the philosophy into their psychic and with the twisting of the memories of many Xy'lon from the effects of the Elder Crystals and the numerous Xy'lon Twisted, the bubbling philosophy that had been growing ever sense as early as 120 G.A. would burst out in rebellion. The Militarist Revolution would throw off it's shackles of female worship declaring a new governmental order following the philosophy that Xy'lon were just tools, to be shaped, created and used in the way best seen fit. Their leader, The Maw of Veils End, raised arms, declaring to the Battle Committees, that who better to wield the weapon of the Xy'lon then the Xy'lon themselves. Forgo all old laws and order to create a blood soaked empire from the power of Xy'lon. Nearly all Xy'lon Military groups would join in this rebellion seeing the peace as a weakness, and war a chance to finally earn power, titles and control for themselves, with no need to respect their traditional allies. While full war has yet to fully meet, already numerous battles have begun, with control of many worlds being taken by the powerful Xy'lon Military forces. Unlike previous rebellions however the Xy'lon Military has proven to be a great threat to the U.W.F. and Xy'lon Matriarchy as the Xy'lon Military contains the most experience in war, holding one of the longest serving military and dozens of powerful fleets as well as the possibility of their alliance between normally traditional enemies of the Duran, V.R. and Feathered Servants.
